The Particle Filtration Efficiency (PFE) Test evaluates the nonviable particle retention or filtration efficiency of filter media and other filtration devices at sub-micron levels.
ASTM F3502 uses Sodium as a challenge and is required for and performed according to ASTM F2100. We offer a high level of expertise in performing PFE testing. In addition, Nelson Labs can carry out all ASTM F2100 testing needed with proficiency.
We can also perform Particle Filtration Efficiency according to the principles of ASTM F2299, which uses latex spheres as a challenge. This can be performed on all material that allows 1 cubic foot per minute (CFM) flow to pass through it.
