Medical Device Testing

For the medical device industry Nelson specializes in a range of tests for facility validation, raw materials screening, sterilization and packaging validations, biocompatibility, cleanroom and isolator facilities, routine quality control tests, and reusable device studies.

General Analytical Tests

For the analytical chemistry industry Nelson specializes in materials characterizations using infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and gas chromatography (GC) methods.  We can also evaluate physicochemical properties and ethylene oxide residuals on products.

Pharmaceutical Testing

For the Pharmaceutical industry Nelson specializes in filter validations, facility validation (including disinfectant studies), container integrity studies, preservative effectiveness studies, cleanroom and isolator facilities, antibiotic potency assays, sterilization and packaging validations, and routine quality control tests.

Processed Tissue Testing

With implementation of the CGTPs, many types of validation and routine testing should be considered.  Nelson Laboratories offers a variety of validations and tests to assist Tissue Banks in complying with the new regulations.  We have been involved with Tissue Banks and related industries for many years and are happy to assist our Tissue Bank customers in setting up validations and implementing process controls which they may need.

NOTE: All tissue samples should complete the donor screening process prior to being shipped to Nelson Labs for testing. 

Nutraceutical Testing

For the nutraceutical industry Nelson specializes in microbiological methods including: plate counts, coliform testing, organism identification, to assist in raw material screening.
