Laboratory Operations Manager, Sterility Assurance

Amina Rahmoune is a Laboratory Operations Manager for Sterility Assurance at Nelson Labs. With a background in healthcare and a degree in Biotechnology and Molecular Biology, she brings extensive experience in sterility testing, contamination control, quality systems, and regulatory compliance. Amina serves as a subject matter expert in sterility assurance, supporting method development, validation, cleanroom and isolator operations, and inspection readiness activities. Her work focuses on advancing sterility testing practices, strengthening contamination risk management, and supporting product release to help ensure patient safety.

Jake Loosle

Senior Scientist, Sterility Assurance

Jake Loosle RM (NRCM) is a Senior Scientist in Sterility Assurance at Nelson Labs with more than 14 years of experience in microbiology, sterility assurance, and contamination control. Jake earned a bachelor's degree in Microbiology with a minor in Chemistry from Weber State University and joined Nelson Labs in 2012. Throughout his career, he has held roles in Microbial Identifications, Bacteriostasis/Fungistasis testing, Radiation Sterilization, and Sterility Assurance. His experience includes pharmaceutical and medical device testing, sterilization validation, radiation dose audits, and contamination control strategy development. Drawing on years of audit experience and participation in PDA and IEST industry events, Jake played a key role in designing Nelson Labs' new Annex 1-aligned cleanroom facility, helping develop the operational framework, facility flows, and procedures that support regulatory readiness.
