Study Outline

The Sodium Chloride Assay test verifies that the assay of the product meets the specification of the label. Sodium chloride is determined by titrating the chloride ion with silver nitrate and an indicator to a color change endpoint. The titration is performed following a USP specified method. The recommended minimum amount is 10 ml. It is standard test procedure to perform analysis in triplicate.
