Transportation & Distribution Simulation Studies

Transportation and Distribution Simulation Studies are a laboratory simulation of the general damage-producing motions, forces, conditions, and sequences of transport environments. This demonstration of product handling impact is required prior to the product being available to the market. This test includes any shipping materials used to transport the product and complies with ATSM D4169, ISTA 2A, and ISTA 3A standards. Nelson Labs routinely completes this test and final report in two weeks.

Laboratory simulation of the general damage-producing motions, forces, conditions and sequences of transport environments. Applicable across broad sets of circumstances, such as a variety of vehicle types and routes, or a varying number of handling exposures. Includes simple shaped random vibration, different drop heights and/or atmospheric conditioning.
“Anybody who is with another company I'm telling to switch to Nelson Labs. Your customer service is heads and tails above the rest.”

Jody , RA/QA Manager , Contract Manufacturer

When requesting a quote for ship testing please provide the external dimensions of the corrugate box being used for the test and the quantity of corrugate boxes that will be exposed.

When selecting ISTA 2A testing, atmospheric conditioning is a requirement. Recommended conditions can be found as part of the standard. Please ensure to include this information when requesting a quote.
